About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the best and unique department at ACEM. The Department of Mechanical Engineering comprises of faculty members from diversified domain having a blend of rich Industrial as well as research experience. The Department encourages the students to go for Internships to reputed public and private sector companies so as to enrich their practical experience along with their theoretical knowledge. The Department has signed MoUs with many MNCs offering the best practical experience to the students. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has full-fledged lab facilities with the most modern equipments for students as well as researchers to carry out Industry-oriented projects. The Department has evolved in the following manner:

Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
Master of Engineering (ME) Design

Hands-on Training practices /Industry visits

Department Conducts training programs, hands-on workshop and organizes Industry visits on a regular basis for the students to expose them to industry practices to enhance employability through expert knowledge encouraging to upgrade their skills, innovative way of thinking and renewed motivation.

Compulsory Internship

As a part of curriculum, department facilitates 30 days internship in reputed companies

At Department level

Project exhibitions are organized and paper presentations are presented by students and faculties which add on to the overall developments of the department.

Industry Institute interactions

As a part of industry 4.0, department also focus on industry institute interaction. It helps students to have information about the requirement of the industry and this motivates them to develop themselves to that requirement. This also provides a platform for both the students and faculty members to be aware of industry expectations of skill required for students.

1) Additive manufacture

The flexible, on-demand production capabilities of additive manufacturing (AM), or 3D printing, made AM a key factor in overcoming supply chain issues during the first year of the pandemic. In line with global trends, the use of sustainable materials will also continue to be important.

2) Digital twin

This technology allows mechanical engineers to virtually test products and control equipment or tools from different companies. It will also make it possible to create and test a multitude of complex digital twin designs across a variety of industries.

3) Automation /smart systems

The disparity between old and new technologies is larger now than it has ever been, and as a result, retrofitting or upgrading legacy equipment and systems is getting more complicated.
